Spielbein is a seating furniture to seat guests in small and midsize rooms.
This chair has vertical legs on one side and two tilted ones on the other.
Its basic form is reminiscent of a person standing relaxed with one engaged leg and one loosely angled leg
(which is Spielbein in german).
Building rows by placing the tilted legs between the vertical ones of the next chair, you get the impression of people sitting cross-legged.
The chair has an extension of the seating surface towards one side. This extension closes the gap between aligned chairs, that build a bench in their entirety. However, the backrests still clearly define single seats, whereas the seating surface invites people to budge up and offer someone else a place without relinquish it themselves.
